There are many benefits to eating breakfast. Many say this is the most important meal of the day. When eating in the morning it has a positive effect on your health as well as your kids.

Top Ten Reasons To Eat Breakfast:

  1. Eating a healthy breakfast lowers your LDL (aka bad cholesterol) which lowers your risk for heart disease.
  2. Increases your metabolic rate.
  3. Provides a better attention span, focus and better activity.
  4. Improves the ability to control weight.
  5. Breakfast restores your sugar levels after up to 12 hours of not eating.
  6. Getting essential nutrients you need that you wouldn’t get by not eating breakfast.
  7. Increases memory and learning.
  8. Improves Mood.
  9. Reduces stress.
  10. Calorie Cutting. People that don’t eat breakfast tend to eat more calories.

If you don’t have time to eat breakfast keep these three types of food in mind:

  1. Whole Grains for energy and fiber.
  2. Fruit for even more fiber and for vitamin power.
  3. Protein for lasting energy.

After reading the importance of breakfast and all the benefits. I can tell you that I will eat breakfast more then I do. What about you?
