The only memory I have of my mom cooking fish, well besides perch we caught in Cedar Lake in Wisconsin, would have to be red snapper. After serving it she quickly ascertained that it was not going over well with her eight children and her husband. She quickly rose to her feet and proceeded to scrape every plate into the trash can. That was the last fish meal my mom ever cooked!
My First Taste of Salmon
In 1999 when my family moved to the great Pacific Northwest, we became friends with a park ranger, Eric, and his wife, Joanie. One day, after helping Joanie with some gardening, she invited me to her little cabin in the woods, on 10 forested acres. Strawberries are once again on sale at our local grocery store! I love strawberries! They remind me of summer and I sure could use that reminder about now!
