Fire on the branches

Welcome to another week of Fantastically Delicious Foodie Link Love. This week’s hot topic in the foodie world has been fall and fall recipes. I love this time of year!

The leaves are starting to really change in their colors. I love the smell of fall in the air. My favorite is all the baking aroma’s of apple spices and pumpkin spices.

Get ready for another round of mouth watering recipes!

  • I have never really made beef stew or beef stew soup before. Erin from $5 Dinners has an excellent look recipe for a A1 Beef Stew. It’s actually a soup and is  perfect for those chilly nights or fall evenings when your just getting in from being outside. This one is a definate must try for me sometime this week.
  • I love Paula Deen. She has some really great down home souther recipes. Lindsey from Cookin’ Like Paula Deen has a leener version to her recipes. Paula Deen’s Lean: Grandgirl’s Fresh Apple Cake From Georgia is a perfect way to use your apples that you may have left over from apple picking.
  • Pumpkin season is here. I didn’t realize just how much you can with pumpkin. Mary Beth from Dunkin Cooking the Semi-Homemade Way has a brilliant idea for a Pumpkin Raisin Chocolate Cookies. I never heard of these before and they surely sound interesting to me.
  • Turnovers may not exactly fall in the category for this week. I had to share really fast and easy way to make turnovers that Jonna from Get Off Your Butt and Bake shared. Blueberry Turnovers Fast and Simple, and fast and simple is right!
  • If your kids are having a Halloween or Fall party at school then these Scarecrow Cookies are perfect. Lisa Cooking has the cutest picture of these cookies up on her website. I think I maybe making them for Dakota’s class.
  • Simply Lydia has a really nice recipe for Pumpkin Cookies with Walnuts. Another great pumpkin recipe to kick of the start of fall.
