If you can stop nibbling the batter, you will love these cookies.  They are quick and easy.

You will need:

cakebattercookiesOne box of cake mix (your choice)
1 Pkg of softened cream cheese
1 cup of Softened butter
1 tsp of Vanilla
1 egg

In bowl, whip cream cheese, butter, Vanilla and egg together.

Add cake mix.  Blend.

Mixture is thick and gooey.  Be prepared to lick the batter off your fingers.

Place on cookie sheet with average sized spoon (cookies will not expand much in oven)

Bake at 350 degrees for 6-8 minutes (until barely browning at the edges)  The less time they bake, the more gooey the results.

If your kids want to help, let them add the cake batter – and lick the beaters.

Wonder if you can use fat free creme cheese and fake-out butter in this? I’ll try it this weekend and let you know! Thanks for sharing because I do NOT bake and this seems simple enough to try.

I tried this recipe and the cookies did not turn out. The batter was very runny and did not stay clumped like it should have. Also, the cookies expanded ALOT in the oven.

Carlie~ I sent you an email, but it came back to me….

So sorry to hear these didn’t turn out for you – I’m not sure how they were runny – they are usually quite hard to blend b/c of the cream cheese and butter (both are softened not, melted, right?) And, I have never had them expand much either – I’ve made them dozens of times…and have passed the recipe on to so many friends…..

    Bummer…hate that.

Maybe Carlie prepared the cake batter first and then added it, that would make it runny right?
