Last night for dinner John was making salmon, so I quickly grabbed my camera and note pad to dutifully take notes. He laughed and said, “But it’s so easy, do you really have to take notes?” Um, John it’s me, remember? I don’t spend time in the kitchen except to clean up the numerous pots and pans you seem to dirty up each day.
Sumptuous Salmon
The salmon fillets (thawed) are placed into the frying pan (previously sprayed with nonstick spray). John seasons them with the same seasoning he used for his 12-Minute Tilapia, garlic and greek seasoning. He says that you can use any seasonings you like, these two happen to be his favorites.

Cook the salmon for approximately 5 to 6 minutes on each side (be sure and cover it). Then serve! We had melt-in-your-mouth red potatoes and peas and carrots with it as shown below.

It looks yummy Sharon! But I have to admit, I’ve only had salmon once when I was young and I didn’t like it. I wonder after looking at this if I should give it another try?
Just had to laugh at portions, my husband would laugh at me. He’d want more!
I don’t do well with pan frying things…or so Hubby says…that looks yummy, I usually bake or grill my salmon, had it last night actually baked in foil with my fav seasonings and diced tomatoes over it.
I have to say that the before picture looks absolutely positively disgusting but the after picture actually makes me change my mind about trying salmon. Of course I’d never attempt to cook it myself so I’d have to try it somewhere else. LOL And the other thing about fish – I wouldn’t want to cook it in my house either because of the smell! EEEEEWWWWW!
Once the spices are bad they seem to take over the fish smell in the house. I don’t notice it lingering at all. Be brave Tishia
Perhaps it’s the “pan” that doesn’t do well and not you Barbara?
You know it’s funny you should mention the portion sizes, Alyssa, just the other night John said we should photograph it on a smaller plate!
Yes for sure! Give salmon another try
mmmmmm Salmon my favorite,
A favorite in our house too, only problem is there are never any leftovers for my bagel the next day!
Salmon is such a versatile protein isnt it? The dish looks great!
Thanks Wendy! We eat so much fish at our house!
I’ve really enjoyed the crock pot info. I use mine alot, but want to use it weekly at least. With the healthy recipes, it’s wonderful to come home and have dinner ready. Thanks for getting me motivated on using it more
Glad to hear you are enjoying the crockpot info Lynn
