Must have Cookbook for Dad: BBQ USA

BBQ USAWhen your husband or dad only cooks outdoors, BBQ USA : 425 Fiery Recipes From All Across America is the cookbook for him.

There is something primal about a man and a grill.

Men tend to take things over when you bring home steak, don’t they? Taking that red meat and searing it to absolute perfection must be in men’s DNA. They can take the most horrible looking cuts of meat, and make them into a main course that will make your mouth water. Stephen has even added history with graphics on the history of BBQ

Stephen has taken BBQ to the extreme!

Well at least its the extreme for my husband. Everything from Grilled Pizza to side dish recipes are packed inside the covers of this cookbook. What man wouldn’t love this?! I’m ready to try his recipe for Banana’s Foster Grilled.

Weber Stainless Steel Grill Tools SetWhat would I pair with this great cookbook?

A grilling tool set of course! Check out this wonderful set of Stainless Steel Grill Tools by Weber. The set includes a grilling fork, tongs and spatula. A must have set for dad.

Must Have Cookbook for Dad: Sam the Cooking Man

If you were like me, you’d never heard of Sam Zien, because you don’t have all of those fancy cooking channels on your TV. You however, may have seen Sam the Cooking Man on Discovery Health or Fit TV. After checking out Sam the Cooking Man: Just a Bunch of Recipes, I really want my satellite back!

Who needs measuring cups anyways?

Sam tells you that you don’t have to have measuring cups and spoons to cook regular food. I agree with Sam, that regular cooking its non-essential. There are great pictures of how different measurements look in the palm of your hand.

Sam teaches basic recipes with a little flair, in a way that even your husband can cook.

With recipes that include microwave bacon, ramen noodles that come in the styrofoam cup and pre-made pizza crusts, Sam doesn’t aspire to be called a chef. He does however take these things and make them into something that’s a lot more than just edible cuisine.

Worried that a cookbook for your husband’s Father’s Day present may be a little too fancy shmancy? Then watch this little clip of Sam making Double Ball-Park Dogs:

I stumbled across this great cookbook while browsing on Amazon the other day. I must say that even though my husband says he doesn’t like cookbooks, I think he would love this one.

A cookbook for dad sounds great, especially when its “Just a Bunch of Recipes.” You can even keep it Double Ball-Park style and throw in Sam the Cooking Guy: Awesome Recipes and Kitchen Shortcuts. I wonder if he includes how to run the dishwasher in that one?!
